Piyush Gandhi wins youth singles TT crown

Patna, November 28, 2011: Piyush D Gandhi won the youth singles title of the 60^th Bihar state table tennis championships at the Bihar Young Men’s Institute here on Monday.

Piyush beat Lekh Raj in a thrilling final 11-7, 7-11, 11-9, 11-5, 10-12, 9-11 and 11-8 to capture the title.

In the other matches, Naman Kumar, Kishan Raj, Piyush D Gandhi and Rahul Kumar advanced into the men’s singles semifinals. Amit Kumar, Aditya Umang, Tushar Kanti and Gagan Nir moved into the sub-junior boys’ singles semifinals.

Naman Kumar, Tushar Kanti, Aniket, Rahul Kumar, Amit Kumar, Gagan Nir, Piyush D Gandhi and Saurav Basotia entered the junior boys’ singles quarterfinals.
