St Dominic School post convincing win

Patna, November 7, 2011: St Dominic School and Children Happy Home (Katihar) chalked out imposing victories and moveed into the second round of the 27th All India
Sukhdeo Narain Memorial inter-school cricket tournament at the Moinul Haq Stadium here on Monday.
St Dominic boys thrashed St Michael’s School by 37 runs while Children Happy Home thrashed DAV Public School (Patna) by 167 runs.

Batting first St Dominic School made 130 runs off 24.3 overs. In reply St Michael’s School crashed out for 93 runs off 20.3 overs. In the second match, Katihar boys scored 228 runs for the loss of two wickets off 25 overs. In reply, DAV boys crashed out for 61 runs off 11.4 overs.

Kumar Abhishek of St Dominic School and Raunak Soni of Katihar were adjudged man of the match for their respective matches. Vijay Kumar Narain ‘Chunnu’, joint secretary, Bihar State Electricity Board gave away the awards.

Brief scores: St Dominic School: 130 (Saurabh 22, Akash Deep 20, Sadanand 16, Prashant 3 for 32, Azad 3 for 21, Abhishek Ranjan 2 for 8, Saurabh 2 for 9). St Michael’s School: 93 (Aman 15, Abhishek Ranjan 15, Abhishek 3 for 15, Deepak and Avinas took two wickets each).

Children Happy Home, Katihar: 228 for 2 (Raunak Soni 75). DAV Public School: 61 all out (Abhiskek Priya 10, Md Shakil 4 for 4).
