Bihar clinch East Zone sub-junior hockey title

Patna, December 8, 2011: Bihar boys tamed Odisha 5-3 to claim East Zone sub-junior hockey championships title at the Bihar Regimental Centre (BRC) ground here on Thursday.

Anup Minz struck two while Navin Minz, Manual Herenge and Manoj Herenge scored one goal each for Bihar.

Odsiha skipper Sumit Toppo slammed two goals while Dipsen Tirkey scored one goal.

Brigadier Sagar Singh, Commandant, BRC, gave away the prizes.

Bihar Olympic Association vice-president Ram Vilas Pandey welcomed the guests while Bihar Olympic Association secretary Md Mushtaque Ahmed proposed a vote of thanks.

Earlier on Wednesday Odsiha girls thrashed Bihar 4-0 to win girls crown.
