Patna, December 12, 2011: Dinesh Kanthan of Andhra Pradesh beat Yogesh Phogat of Haryana 7-6, 6-3 to win the men’s singles title of the Deshratna Dr Rajnendra Prasad memorial all-India ranking tennis tournament at Patliputra Colony courts here on Saturday.

Treta Bhattacharya of West Benal beat Manya Nagpal of Delhi 6-4, 6-4 to clinch the women’s singles crown.

In the men’s doubles final Vinod Sewa (WB) & Manoj Sewa (W) beat Devpriya Jaiswal (Bihar) and Kshitij Kamal (Delhi) 6-3, 4-6, 6-4 to bag the title.

In women’s doubles final Manya Nagpal (Delhi) and Preethi Ujjini (Karnataka) beat Utthara Venkatesh (Tamil Nadu) and Omlata Rai (Uttar Pradesh) 6-2, 6-1.

Subodh Jain, president and other senior member of Rotary Patliputra gave away the trophies and the prize-money to the players. Tournament referee, Kunal Aikat was also present on this occasion.
